International high street chain Pret A Manger’s vegan dishes are boosting the company’s sales by 70 percent.
In an interview with media outlet Forbes, Pret A Manger’s CEO Clive Schlee announced that ‘the top-selling eight new products at Veggie Pret are all vegan’.
The coffee shop chain opened its first two Veggie Pret stores in London last year, with a third location to launch later this year in the capital.
Vegan movement
Pret’s vegan dishes have been driving the success of the global brand.
According to Schlee, this ‘either shows that vegan dishes can be just as delicious as veggie dishes, or we have underestimated how strong the vegan movement is’.
Pret has just released two new vegan offerings in the U.S.: Falafel & Turmeric Cauliflower Balance Box and a Pumpkin Bisque.
