Lotus ‘Biscoff And Go’ pots – which are suitable for vegans* – have launched in the UK.

The biscuit company’s new product, which is already available in the states, features dairy-free ‘cookie butter’ and breadsticks.

Retailing at £1, the snack will begin to roll out in convenience shops such as Spar, Coscutter, and Nisa over the next few months.

‘A handy dunk and go format’

A spokesperson for Lotus said: “It all began with a little red biscuit and now we have become a three-category brand with the launch of Biscoff & Go rooting us firmly in the food-to-go market and driving sales in a new direction.

“We are delighted to introduce Biscoff & Go in the UK so that our customers can enjoy the taste of Lotus Biscoff anytime, anywhere and in a handy dunk and go format.”

‘Too much unnecessary plastic’

Popular Instagram account, Accidentally Vegan UK, posted about the new product, causing controversy amongst vegans.

One user commented: “Too much unnecessary plastic. Is it really worth it for more destruction of the world?”

While another person said: “Think I’ll be buying these by the truckload.”
