Popular LA eatery Burgerlords, located in Chinatown and Highland Park, has veganized its entire menu.
The chain’s new menu includes a Sourdough Garlic Melt, Classic Grilled Cheese, Buffalo Ranch Tofu Burger, Crispy Tofu Nuggets, Chili Cheese Fries, as well as Tahini Milkshakes and much more.
According to animal-rights charity PETA, owner Frederick Guerrero said: “Growing up working in my family’s restaurant, I always wanted to have my own place that represented how I ate.
“We’ve gone back and forth with the idea of going all-vegan with the restaurants, so we figured that now was [as good a] time as any to make the leap.”

Endless Gratitude would be an understatement. If you’ve been with us since day one, or are just finding us now, we couldn’t have done this without you. Starting today we are a 100% Vegan restaurant. Come see what we’ve been working on. We’re extremely proud of these creations and want to share them with the ones who helped give us this opportunity. Thank you. #burgerlords #gonevegan
‘The future of dining is vegan’
PETA, who has awarded Burgerlords with a Vegan Business Award for ditching animal products, added: “As COVID-19 forces the world to face the dangers of the meat industry, Burgerlords is busy becoming the king of delicious meat-free burgers,”
“PETA is recognizing this beloved business’s crowd-pleasing cuisine for showing that the future of dining is vegan.”
