Popular LA eatery Burgerlords, located in Chinatown and Highland Park, has veganized its entire menu.

The chain’s new menu includes a Sourdough Garlic Melt, Classic Grilled Cheese, Buffalo Ranch Tofu Burger, Crispy Tofu Nuggets, Chili Cheese Fries, as well as Tahini Milkshakes and much more.

‘Going all-vegan’

According to animal-rights charity PETA, owner Frederick Guerrero said: “Growing up working in my family’s restaurant, I always wanted to have my own place that represented how I ate.

“We’ve gone back and forth with the idea of going all-vegan with the restaurants, so we figured that now was [as good a] time as any to make the leap.”

‘The future of dining is vegan’

PETA, who has awarded Burgerlords with a Vegan Business Award for ditching animal products, added: “As COVID-19 forces the world to face the dangers of the meat industry, Burgerlords is busy becoming the king of delicious meat-free burgers,”

“PETA is recognizing this beloved business’s crowd-pleasing cuisine for showing that the future of dining is vegan.”
