Plant-based cooking duo Henry Firth and Ian Theasby, aka BOSH!, have partnered Kettle Foods to launch vegan ‘Sheese & Onion’ chips.

The new product – which will hit grocery store Budgens from the early next month, later followed by supermarkets Morrisons and Tesco at the end of January – will feature red Leicester-style ‘sheese’.

The ‘Sheese & Onion’ chips, which use dairy-free cheese from the Bute Island brand, will retail at £1.99 for a 135g bag.

Vegan flavors

Kettle Food does already sell several flavors that have been described as being ‘accidentally vegan’.

These include Sea Salt, Sea Salt & Crushed Black Pepper, Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, Sea Salt & Rosemary, and Paprika & Roasted Onion.

Plant-Based News has contacted BOSH! for comment

*This article was updated on December 14 after a spokesperson from Kettle Foods said the chips will not be produced in a ‘completely vegan factory’ as states on The Grocer
