Frozen supermarket Iceland has launched a pack of vegan sausage rolls – with each roll costing 33p.

A spokesperson for Iceland told Plant Based News that its No Porkies Sausage Roll (£2.00, six-pack) features ‘seasoned plant-based sausage meat encased in a flaky, indulgent pastry’.

The new pastry joins Iceland’s frozen vegan line-up, which includes the No Bull Burger, No Fish Fingers, No Duck Spring Rolls and No Chick Nuggets.

‘Snack of kings’

“Hailed as having ‘the best vegan range around’ by plant-loving social media users, Iceland is set to revolutionize the nation’s buffets, lunch boxes and mid-afternoon snacks with the No Porkies Sausage Roll,” a spokesperson said.

“Vegans can now enjoy the king of snacks without leaving their home by stocking their freezers full of Iceland’s new roll, which can be baked from frozen in 25-27 minutes.

“The treat has the perfect ratio of vegan sausage mince to pastry and what’s more, it can be baked from frozen with no soggy bottoms in sight.”

The No Porkies Sausage Roll is available instore and online now.
