US-based ice cream company My/Mo Mochi has announced it will be launching a non-dairy and vegan line of frozen dessert items.

Set to hit retail shelves in early 2018, the new line will feature four plant-based cashew cream products – with flavors including strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and salted caramel.

The vegan desserts are made with a scoop of frozen cashew cream, wrapped in soft rice dough.

‘Need for plant-based food’

Craig Berger, CEO of My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream, explained that the company is addressing the growing demand for vegan food.

“The need for plant-based food has grown immensely in the last few years,” he says.

“Our fans are continually requesting that we add vegan options to our line of mochi ice cream snacks, as many consumers look to limit their dairy intake.

“We’re thrilled to answer the call with these tasty offerings to satisfy their snack cravings.”

My/Mo Mochi ice cream products are currently available in over 6,000 retail locations across the States.
