A French restaurant is launching a vegan menu, in a bid to meet the growing demand for plant-based cuisine.

Le Mistral, which has restaurants in Nottingham, Sherwood, and Wirksworth has created six animal-free dishes.

The dishes include spinach, pomegranate, orange and blueberry salad, Mexican guacamole and toasted pitta, risotto, slow-cooked mushrooms, and coconut tart and warm berry crumble.

According to the restaurant: “Whether you’re wanting a romantic dinner, a work or family celebration, a glass of wine and a snack, or simply a coffee and pastry, we always deliver simple, delicious food that’s locally-sourced and cooked fresh to order.

“We now offer a vegan menu. It will change every month so keep an eye on our website or facebook page for the new one.”

Writing on Facebook, someone from the outlet added: “If there’s something you really fancy we are open to new ideas.”
