Restaurant chain Frankie & Benny’s has launched a major vegan menu featuring 20 dishes.
The new options – including vegan ‘chicken’ parmigiana, mac & cheese, pizza, and an ice-cream sundae – were launched in response to growing consumer demand for animal-free meals.
Other dishes include the ‘Viva La Vegan’ burger, nuggets, cheesy garlic bread, and vegan chicken strips.
Something vegan for everyone
“Having something for everyone is so important to us at Frankie & Benny’s. We have worked in collaboration with PETA and we now have over 20 vegan dishes across the menu,” said Holly Davies, the chain’s Head of Food.
“We know the interest in vegan food is absolutely booming and not just for vegans. Because of this, we wanted to try something a little bit different.”
Veganuary
The chain also encouraged people to give Veganuary a go – and revealed how customers can get a hefty discount: “Not vegan? Why not try something new this January and take part in Veganuary, where you go Vegan for the month.
“Take the Vegan Pledge and sign up to PETA UK and you will receive lots of tips and recipes for going vegan this month, as well as an exclusive 50 percent discount to use in our restaurants to try our tasty new dishes.”
