Papa John’s is adding some major new vegan items to its menu this Veganuary.
The pizza chain will launch vegan cheese stuffed crust pizza and plant-based ‘chicken’ bites. It will also release a new pizza called the Alice Tai created by Paralympic Gold medallist, swimmer Alice Tai.

The pizza features a thin crust, topped with vegan cheese, sausage, chestnut mushrooms, tomatoes, sweetcorn, onions, and black Herrera olives.
The stuffed crust will be available on sizes medium to XXL. Diners can add it to any vegan pizza option from January 18.

Giles Codd, Papa John’s Marketing Director said: “We’re so excited to introduce the new vegan items to our menu.
“With recipe innovation at the core of the brand, we’re proud to continue our commitment to vegan products with the launch of the Not-Chicken Vegan Bites and Vegan Stuffed Crust.
“We’ve also thoroughly enjoyed working with one of our Paralympic ambassadors, Alice Tai to create a limited-edition plant-based pizza. [This is] another menu addition that we expect to be a huge hit with pizza lovers across the nation.”

Bravo!
Just to be clear this is only in the UK.
It’s disgusting. Really disappointing. The sausage smells like that stuff dentist’s make you rinse your mouth with. Jackfruit I think they call it. Won’t be buying it again unfortunately.
They’re miles ahead of Domino’s. Their vegan pepperoni tastes almost identical to pork pepperoni, it was unnerving. A shame there are precisely 0 Papa John’s in my entire county.
