Pizza giant Domino’s is reportedly launching vegan chicken in the U.K, according to an insider.
The chain is said to be expanding its plant-based offerings with southern-friend vegan nuggets. Moreover, it’s allegedly adding a meat-free chicken pizza to its menu dubbed ‘The Chick-Ain’t’.
Vegan Country Boy broke the news after posting an image of an Irish Domino’s menu featuring the new options.
Speaking to Plant Based News, the Instagrammer said he received the picture from somebody who works at the company. On Instagram, he told his 14.7 thousand followers the new items will launch next year.
Vegan Pizza
Earlier this year, Domino’s launched two vegan pizzas in its 1,200 U.K and R.O.I outlets following a ‘highly successful’ trial.
It also debuted a vegan version of its iconic Garlic & Herb dip.
In a statement sent to PBN, Melanie Howe, legume legend at Domino’s said: “Domino’s may not be the first… But following fantastic feedback from our recent trial, we’re confident ours tastes the best.
“Our pizza chefs have been perfecting the recipe to ensure our vegan-friendly range recreates the unique magic of [our] famous original dough.
“Of course, nothing says Domino’s like our Garlic & Herb dip. We’re proud to have perfected a worthy equivalent of the legendary pot so our vegan fans can also dunk to their hearts’ content.”
Domino’s refused to comment on the news when contacted by Plant Based News
