Iconic vegan fast-food joint, Oowee Vegan is on its way to Manchester – following soaring success since it scooped Deliveroo’s 2019 ‘Restaurant of the Year’ status.
The global delivery company also awarded the chain ‘Best Vegan Offering’.
Oowee Vegan
Following a strong launch in Bristol, the American-style chain expanded into London and Brighton. Its menu features vegan shrimp, marmite fries, and seitan chick’n burgers.
Moreover its burger, The Big Oovee – featuring Beyond Meat and signature dirty sauce – was listed in the top five most popular orders in Bristol over lockdown.
Now, Oowee Vegan will be available in Manchester too: and customers will be able to get 25 percent off orders from July 23.
Deliveroo award winner
Deliveroo is ‘incredibly’ proud of the company on its Bristol growth and is expecting soaring success in Manchester too.
In a statement sent to PBN, founder Charlie Watson said: “With a huge uptake in veganism, eating less meat and a focus on the environment over the last few years, now is the perfect time to be making meat-free food something that is accessible, interesting and delicious. And that’s where we come in.
“We’ve had amazing success in our hometown of Bristol, which has a really warm and welcoming vegan scene – as well as an incredible food scene. [This] has allowed us to expand to Dalston and Brighton in 2020.
“We’re excited to move on to Manchester as we’ve had a big demand from our community.”
Manchester fast food outlets
Oowee Vegan will be joining a host of other takeaway sites offering quality burgers in the Northern city.
Among them is McDonald’s-inspired Vegan Shack, which launched in Piccadilly Gardens. Started in a one-bed apartment, the site expanded last month and offers a savers menu to ensure all customers can afford its offerings.
Others include Wholesome Junkies – famed for its vegan chik’n, which is also available at Deliveroo.
