Cara, Chloe, and Poppy Delevingne have launched a sustainable vegan Prosecco brand.
Della Vite, meaning ‘of the vine’, is the first joint venture from the three sisters, and currently offers two proseccos.
Vegan prosecco
Its award-winning Della Vite Prosecco Superiore DOCG has ‘aromas of citrus blossom and olive’, and is made exclusively from handpicked Glera grapes, grown in the valley of Valdobbiadene, Italy. The prosecco is described as ‘rich and extra dry’, characterized by ‘hints of crostini and chamomile.’
The brand’s Treviso Prosecco has ‘delicate notes of jasmine and lavender’ and is ‘refined and versatile. They are priced £25 and £20 retrospectively.
‘Sustainavly produced’
Cara Delevingne is a British supermodel, actor, and environmental activist who recently founded the initiative My Eco Resolution.
In a statement sent to Plant Based News she said: “Placing sustainability first and using agricultural methods that don’t rely heavily on industry is at the core Della Vite’s values.
“We spent four months looking for the perfect winery to align with our vision and are so proud to have created two exceptional Proseccos that are both sustainably produced and 100 percent certified vegan.”
‘Wildly delicious’
Chloe described the brand’s Proseccos as ‘wildly delicious in flavor, light in color with creamy smooth bubbles’ that ‘will elevate every occasion’.
Poppy added: “We’ve always spoken about starting a business together but were keen to find something that we could all really get behind and that was equally meaningful to each of us.
“Prosecco has always been our ritual, wherever we were in our lives, laughter and lifelong memories were made over cold glasses of Prosecco so it was the obvious perfect fit for us.
“We love Italian culture, food, tradition and history and wanted to create something that is authentic and spirited.”
