Vegan food company Field Roast has added a plant-based mayo alternative to its
list of vegan products.

The company- well known for its meat-meat free sausages and Chao vegan cheese – has formulated Chao Mayo to closely resemble the version typically made from animal products.

Simple ingredients

The product is oil-based, and include a number of other easy-to-identify ingredients such as tofu, pea protein sea salt, and balsamic vinegar.

Field Roast describes it as a ‘smooth and balanced vegan mayo’.

Growing industry

Field Roast’s product line is continuously evolving, with a release of three vegan dips and
dressings just last month – and a high market value.

The company was purchased by Canadian meat processing giant Maple Leaf Foods late last year for a whopping $120 million, but has pledged to stay true to its values by making fully vegan products.
