Chef and restaurateur
Matthew Kenney is set to open a convenience store in Venice, California,
offering a wide range of vegan products.

Kenny is
responsible for another of other plant-based businesses, including Australia’s first
fully plant-based hotel restaurant, Alibi.

‘Sustainable
and practical’

The shop, New
Deli, will carry items such as packaged snacks, prepared foods, and even
organic wines and beer – with a focus on ‘sustainable, practical, everyday
products’.

According to reports, Kenney has plans for stylish design, patio seating,
and a prime location right by Venice Beach.

‘Modern and
beautiful’

The chef partnered
with local design company, Dex Studio, to create a space that stands out.

He described
the space on Facebook as
‘modern
and beautiful’, having ‘a large and very green back patio’.

New
Deli will open its doors on April 15 at 2524 Pacific Ave.
