US vegan snack brand LÄRABAR is set to launch in the UK next week in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide.

The bars, which will retail for RRP £2.90 multipack of three, will hit shelves on January 13. They are available on Amazon now.

LÄRABAR was founded by female entrepreneur Lara Merriken in 2000, who said she was ‘on a mission to help people eat well, get active and be present’.

Since then, the brand has become the fastest growing Wellness brand in the Nutrition category in North America, with sales hitting $200m in 2018.

“The LÄRABAR brand started with an idea I had back in 2000 after a hike in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado,” Lara Merriken said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.

“I am now incredibly excited to see Larabar launch across the pond in January 2019, at Sainsbury’s stores nationwide. I hope that the UK audience enjoys these delicious, real bars, made simply from fruits, nuts and spices in exciting and joyful varieties.”
