High Street brand Primark’s make-up range has been certified by Cruelty Free International.

The line – called PS… – includes make-up, skincare and haircare products. They will all feature the Leaping Bunny logo, which Cruelty Free International says will allow ‘customers to shop for their favourite Primark beauty essentials safe in the knowledge that they are 100 percent free from animal testing’.

“The Leaping Bunny is the internationally recognised gold standard certification programme,” the charity adds. “It enables consumers to easily identify and buy products that are not tested on animals. Primark joins over 1,000 companies to have obtained Leaping Bunny certification.”

‘Delighted’

Speaking about the accreditation, Michelle Thew, CEO of Cruelty Free International, said: “We are delighted to award the Leaping Bunny certification to the PS… cosmetic range.

“We want to congratulate Primark for demonstrating it’s possible to bring high quality cosmetic products to the high street without inflicting suffering on animals.

“The Leaping Bunny makes it easy for customers to make an informed and ethical decision about their shopping.”
