Major UK coffee chain Costa Coffee will be adding new food to its vegan line-up, PBN can reveal.

According to the coffee outlet, the new Jam Oaty Bake will become available in March, and a Three Bean Wrap will hit shelves in May.

The new launches follow calls for Costa to ‘up its vegan game’ by adding more plant-based options to the menu.

Additions

National animal rights organization Animal Aid previously wrote to the chain asking it to introduce additional vegan lunch options.

Costa currently offers its vegan customers Tomato and Basil Soup, alongside a range of vegan-friendly drinks and snacks.

Animal Aid’s Vegan Outreach Campaign Manager, Tod Bradbury, said: “We are delighted to hear that Costa Coffee will be launching new vegan options this year.

“Once launched, every major coffee chain in the UK will offer a vegan lunch option.

“This shows how much veganism is growing, and how mainstream it has become.”
