High street coffee chain Costa has launched a new vegan cookie.
The Chocolate Caramel and Hazelnut Cookie is available nationwide from today.
Trademark
It is registered with The Vegan Society’s trademark. Speaking about the new snack, the Society said: “If you thought nothing could beat the Sticky Toffee & Pecan Cookie from Costa Coffee, you’d be wrong.
“They’ve outdone themselves with their NEW Chocolate Caramel and Hazelnut Cookie, complete with that gooey caramel center we love!
“And it’s registered with our Vegan Trademark. It’s never been easier to go vegan. Available nationwide at Costa cafés from today.?”
Vegan at Costa Coffee
The chain offers a selection of vegan options, including some recent launches like Jam Oaty Bake and Three Bean Wrap.
Speaking about the offerings earlier this year, Animal Aid’s Vegan Outreach Campaign Manager, Tod Bradbury, said: “We are delighted to hear that Costa Coffee will be launching new vegan options this year.
“Once launched, every major coffee chain in the UK will offer a vegan lunch option. This shows how much veganism is growing, and how mainstream it has become.”
