American bakery chain Cinnabon has been urged to add a vegan option to its menu as an online petition has received more than 3,000 signatures.

Created by animal-rights organization Vegan Outreach, the nationwide campaign asks the eatery to introduce a plant-based alternative to its iconic cinnamon roll.

‘Delicious and convenient’

“For years, Cinnabon has been the world’s go-to bakery chain for fresh-baked cinnamon rolls—operating over 1,500 locations in malls, airports, and rest stops in fifty countries all over the world,” the petition reads.

“As plant-based options have taken the fast food industry by storm, Cinnabon has yet to offer a vegan roll for millions of potential vegan and dairy-intolerant customers!

“Adding a vegan cinnamon roll would not only bring new business to Cinnabon, but the option would help continue making vegan food both delicious and convenient.”

Vegan option

According to Cruelty-Free Reviews, Cinnabon doesn’t currently offer any vegan food offerings – stating that the only items free from animal products are drinks such as coffee, soda, and juices. Everything else is said to contain milk or eggs.
