Califia Farms has added a new Oat-based Barista Blend milk to its lineup.

According to the brand, which is available in Whole Food, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, WH Smith, Morrisons, and Tesco, the new milk doesn’t split in hot drinks.

The Califia Farms’ Oat Barista Blend, which is free-from gums and stabilisers, has been created with baristas which the company says ‘ensures it functions well and tastes delicious to create a creamy drink that perfectly complements the natural, robust flavour of coffee or tea’.

Plant-based products

“Califia Farms has been a leader in innovation by bringing diversified plant-based products to market that consistently deliver on taste, nutrition, quality and performance- and our new Oat Barista Blend is no different,” Greg Steltenpohl, founder of Califia Farms, said in a statement.

“To craft this product, we worked in partnership with the barista community to ensure it paired well with coffee and espresso drinks from a taste and texture standpoint, foamed easily without splitting for impeccable latte art, and met consumer nutritional demands by being completely unsweetened and free of gums and stabilisers.

“We’ve been a dependable partner to the speciality coffee trade for some time now, and offering a new Oat Barista Blend was a clear next step to help cafes reliably meet their customer’s demands and quality expectations.”
