High-tech plant-based company Beyond Meat has announced that ‘the future of protein has never looked more promising’.
The brand posted the announcement alongside a review of its year across its social media channels, charting some of its successes throughout 2017.
These include high profile media appearances, accolades from major publications, and the increasing availability of the product across the US – and beyond.
The company added that it has ‘big plans’ for 2018.
In another recent accolade, Beyond Meat’s flagship products the Beyond Burger was recently hailed by publication Quartz as one of the most underrated scientific breakthroughs of 2017.
Speaking about the product’s positioning in the meat aisle of shops, writer Chase Purdy said: “It may not seem like a big deal to get out of specialty aisles but it’s a sign that these products are actually good, and that the doors are opening wide for disruption in the meat industry.”
