A popular restaurant in Bath known for its steak nights is re-branding to serve vegan and vegetarian dishes only starting next month.

The Beaufort eatery is currently undergoing a transitional period following the owner’s decision – who is plant-based himself – to drop meat from the menu.

Plant-based

Robbie Tack, owner of The Beaufort, told the Bath Chronicle: “I am a plant-based lover and our head chef is too, so it makes sense.

“There aren’t many vegetarian restaurants in Bath but more people are choosing to follow a plant-based diet or are cutting down on meat.”

Tack plans to serve ‘a bit of everything’, including ‘dishes with lots of flavors, spices, and… wholesome meals’.

The Beaufort on London Road will open its doors in November.
