A new fully vegan market is launching this weekend in Sydney, Australia.

The Sydney Vegan Market, which will be Australia’s largest animal-free food venture with nearly 100 stalls, is kicking off this Sunday at Fraser park in Marrickville.

The event organizer promises to ‘make veganism and cruelty-free living accessible to all’ through this new venture, which launches this weekend in a bid to coincide with World Vegan Month.

Organizer Kate Jones, who has been an active figure within the local vegan community for six years, pointed out: “Australia is the third-fastest growing vegan market in the world.”

She goes on to say that the aim of the market is to not only bridge a gap for those wanting to buy fresh vegan produce, but to also foster an active community presence.

Stallholders will be selling goods ranging from cruelty-free cosmetics and fashion items, to vegan homewares and decadent fare.

Vegan butcher Suzie’s Spoon will offer meat-free alternatives to bacon, Schnitzel, and sausages; Dula Balm, which is known for its 100 percent plant-based beauty products, will also be present at the market.

Organic Village’s Soy-free Tempeh’s eats are set to be a hit with visitors too.

Sydney Vegan Market will be running on the third Sunday of every month from 9-4pm, beginning with November 19.
