UK supermarket Asda has launched new vegan cheese options – including blue cheese flavor.

The new option, which costs £2.20, ‘looks and tastes just like the real deal, with visible blue specks running through the creamy block’, according to a spokesperson.

The other new flavor is Double Gloucester with Onion & Chive Alternative.

‘New and exciting products’

“We’re always looking for new and exciting products to expand our range of vegan-friendly food,” an Asda spokesperson said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.

“We know that Brits love cheese, and it is often a food missed when transitioning to a dairy-free lifestyle, so we’re happy our customers can find a delicious alternative at Asda.”

The new cheeses join the existing range, which includes Mature Cheddar, Garlic & Herb Soft Cheese, and Grated Mozzarella alternatives.
