Scotland has been a hotbed of vegan activity recently – and now another plant-based festival can be added to the calendar of events.
Love vegan will take place at Falkirk Stadium on October 7-8.
According to organizers, more than 40 vegan food, drink, and lifestyle companies will be selling their wares at the event, and there will be children’s entertainment too, with a free bouncy castle, face painting, and arts table.
‘Phenomenal’
Local response to the event has been ‘phenomenal’, according to organizers Kirsty and Andy Ure.
Kirsty said: “Falkirk has a great vegan scene, the Land and Sea in Polmont runs a weekly vegan night and businesses like Coffee on Wooer and Northstar happily cater for vegans.
“When I turned vegan I got all the usual questions, where do you get protein, and do you just eat salad?
“But in all honestly, it’s been an easy transition, and you can still eat vegan versions of all the food you love.”
There will be a range of vegan ‘junk’ food at the festival, which runs from 10.30am – 4.30pm both days. Dishes will include fried chicken, haggis, and pulled pork pies.
