Coffee
industry giant Starbucks currently has a sign promoting veganism on proud
display in one of its Amsterdam shops.

Vegan
options

A post
shared to alternative social media platform Reddit yesterday included a photograph
of a handwritten sign in the café, listing a number of the chain’s vegan
options.

Listed were
five drinks, some of which can be be served hot or iced – although the Chai
Latte was included, which often contains honey, so should be double-checked
prior to ordering.

Growing
range

Starbucks
has expanded its labelled and unlabeled vegan offerings in a number of
countries, including everything from the introduction of a vegan bagel in
Canada to wraps, cake, and a mango fruit pot in the UK.

Starbucks COO Rosalind
Brewer announced the chain’s plans to expand vegan offerings in March.

Speaking to requests for
plant-based options, she said: “We know our customers ask us that
repeatedly, and we’ll be responding.”
