Alpro Launches ‘Free Stock Initiative’ To Support Independent Coffee Shops After Lockdown

Food giant Alpro has launched a ‘free stock initiative’ in an effort to support independent coffee shops affected by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The company, which has an extensive range of plant-based products, will provide eligible* small businesses with a case of each product from the Barista For Professional range.

It is also calling for suppliers within the coffee industry to make donations to help support the initiative.

‘Wholehearted support’

On its website, Alpro states: “We want to give coffee shops our wholehearted support, both now and when the lockdown is over. So, as soon as you’re ready to open, we’ll provide you with the full Barista For Professional range at zero cost.

“We hope that this will help your cash flow in your first few weeks, and also give you the chance to get develop some new plant-based creations.

“We’ll work with your nominated wholesaler to have the products sent out to you, so just let us know your details and we’ll take care of the rest.”
