Tesco is launching seven vegan Pot Noodle-style meal pots – which only requires the addition of hot water to cook.

The meal pots are part of the retail giant’s plant-based Wicked Kitchen range created by its executive chef & director of plant-based innovation Derek Sarno and his brother Chad.

The range, which features more than 30 products, was launched in more than 600 Tesco stores in January 2018. Tesco has sold more than 10 million meals from the range since this launch 20 months ago.

Derek Sarno announced the new product on Instagram, sharing an image of the Sweet Potato and Beanz Chilli Mac flavor. Other flavors include Wicked Purple Rice, Spicy Smoky Dreamy Mac, and Spicy Coconut & Rice Noodles among others.

“These bad boys have been spotted on Tesco.com for order in the U.K. One of seven coming your way in stores in a couple of weeks,” Sarno wrote on social media. “More Wicked details coming soon…”

He added: “None of what is coming would be possible without the team of extraordinary plant pushing heroes I work with and appreciate dearly [including] @zoejarrett @loubykirby @kendal_holland and so many others. Hats off to all their hard work to help change the landscape of food.”
