Marks & Spencer has expanded its plant-based Plant Kitchen range with a new product.

In a statement sent to Plant Based News, M&S said its new ‘No Chick’n Gyozas’ – which are available in stores now – are made to an authentic recipe.

The upmarket retailer added that the gyozas include sui mai pastry, mirin, sake and fresh herbs picked direct from the Dalat region of Vietnam.

It said every gyoza is handmade in small batches. The parcels are filled with a soy, shitake, and oyster mushroom recipe. The product includes a ponzu dip.

‘Can’t wait to hear what our customers think’

“These gyozas are made by our Vietnamese chef who has 38 years of experience, with no compromise, these gyozas are the real deal,” James Fisher, M&S product development said in a statement sent to PBN.

“We follow the process by making sure there’s no moving away from the original recipe. Each filling is hand-worked in very small batches to caramelize the ingredients and bring out that incredible flavor, we knew we had to add these to the Plant Kitchen range and we can’t wait to hear what customers think.”

The No Chick’n Goyzas cost £2.50 for a 120g pack.
