The world’s biggest plant-based food conference is coming to the UK in 2020, following major success in New York this year.
Plant Based World Europe will take place in London’s Business Design Centre on October 16-17. Both days will be for industry professionals, while Community Day’ on Day 2 will provide access to the general public.
Event
The unique B2B event is the first of its kind to bring together plant-based product producers and manufacturers, with retailers, distributors, foodservice providers, restauranteurs, entrepreneurs, investors and healthcare professionals in Europe.
It will combine a conference covering topics around plant-based business, healthcare, and community, with an international Exhibition, high-level networking and product tasting opportunities.
A healthier world
“The fundamental shift away from animal product consumption towards more wholesome, plant-based options is our opportunity as a society to create a healthier world for future generations,” commented Ben Davis, Content & Communications Director, Plant Based World Conference & Expo.
“Our goal at PBW is to accelerate this shift by providing a professional platform for the global plant-based market to blossom. This message resonated deeply with our inaugural audience in New York and we look forward to bringing the ultimate plant-based experience to London in 2020.”
Jonathan Morley, Managing Director of organisers JD Events UK Ltd, added: “The New York event is, without doubt, the best tradeshow launch I have seen in any sector, and we have one objective with our London event – to create a similar success with a pan-European community. A lot of new and exciting products are also joining us from the US which makes it a truly global opportunity.”
‘Delighted’
Plant Based News has become part of the event as a founding sponsor. “We are delighted to have partnered with the team at Plant Based World Conference & Expo,” said PBN co-founder and director Robbie Lockie.
“The plant-based sector is growing at an exponential rate, and it’s crucial to support this growing market, by exposing its innovation to industry insiders as well as consumers. At PBN, we think it is crucial to accelerate the role businesses and tech can play in helping boost that growth.
“The PBN team will have a presence at the event, to engage with businesses and consumers.”
