A leading plant-based media company and positive change organization will be taking its upcoming business summit online amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Vevolution, which normally hosts events in London, says its priority is to ‘protect our community’ – and so it won’t be holding physical events during the crisis.
Global plant-based business summit
Today Vevolution has announced the first global plant-based business summit. Taking place in June, the summit will consist of online events bringing together the world’s leading plant-based entrepreneurs and investors to share ideas and connect virtually.
More details will be announced in coming weeks, people can register their interest now.
When it comes to Vevolution’s other plans, its ‘She Loves’ women’s empowerment event due to take place this May has been canceled. Vevolution is working on a new project for this community of women creating positive change which it will reveal next week.
The team is currently working on its fifth annual Vevolution Festival, and says it is ‘monitoring the situation closely and acting in-line with both government advice and what we feel is best for our attendees’. The date will be changed if necessary.
‘Extraordinary times’
“In these extraordinary times, we must all adapt and take care of our loved ones,” Vevolution founders Damien Clarkson and Judy Nadel said in a statement sent to Plant Based News. “For us it was important to continue our work to connect people, share ideas and support entrepreneurs in building the businesses of the future.
“The Global Plant Based Business Summit – will be connecting the global community of plant-based entrepreneurs, investors, and organizations supporting the rapid growth of the plant-based economy.
“COVID-19, means society needs to take extraordinary measures – what is clear is that we must keep talking and sharing ideas. The work we are all doing is too important to just stop. We see this global summit as a chance to make us a stronger, better connected global movement of entrepreneurs.”
