A vegan singer has performed an ode to tofu in a video that has quickly gone viral.

Rushad Eggleston – a jazz artist and innovative performer – has put on show with tofu taking center stage, as he plays the cello and eats cubes of the food at the same time.

In the two-minute video that has garnered over 52,000 hits on YouTube, the Californian musician has a fork attached to the end of the bow to help him spike the tofu cubes.

‘I Love Tofu’

The vegan cello player has demonstrated his songwriting abilities in the tofu-focused ballad aptly-titled ‘I Love Tofu’.

“People who don’t love it say, tofu,” he sings.

The viral video – also picked up by the Daily Mail – was quickly embraced by viewers, with one Facebook user saying ‘I have no idea what I just watched, but it’s hilarious’, and another ‘I don’t know why I found this as funny as I did’.
