Organizers of Vegan Camp Out have announced a new ‘back to basics’ event as coronavirus guidelines have started to ease.
The three-day event, that will take place in Riddings, Derby on September 25-27, has limited capacity and will not feature any guest speakers.
‘Great vibes’
In a statement sent to Plant Based News, organizers said: “After having to postpone Vegan Camp Out 2020 to next year, following new government updates, we are so happy to be able to announce a new event this year so that we can still all meet!
“We’re taking it back to basics, to where it all began, from VCO 2016, Riddings Wood, Derby. There will be no talks. Just camping, socializing, DJ sets, food, and great vibes!
“This will be the first big Vegan event back since before lockdown, and we are so excited to come together for the first time in a long time!”
COVID-19
On Instagram, Vegan Camp Out said it has put measures in place to help maintain social distancing, such as trained stewards managing queues and a floor marking system.
Hand sanitizer will be available in the toilets and must be used by all persons prior to using and before leaving the toilet facilities; toilets will be disinfected by staff regularly.
“All our catering providers have a five-star food hygiene rating and have completed a thorough risk assessment and identified and will implement control measures for the preparation and service of food and drinks,” the brand said.
“As it stands right now, if you can’t stay two meters apart from someone – wear a mask, but check government guidance at the time of the event.”
