Vegan pro racer Lewis Hamilton won the Italian Grand Prix this morning – in what is being called a ‘sensational’ victory.

Despite a collision during his opening lap with competitor Sebastian Vettel, Hamilton won the race on lap 45 extending his lead in the championship to 30 points.

Today’s victory was Hamilton’s fifth in the Italian Grand Prix.

Plant-based

The star athlete is a known advocate for plant-based eating, and has encouraged his fans to adopt the same change in diet.

Hamilton has been eating vegan since 2017, and says it’s left him feeling the best he’s ever felt.

Advocacy

His change in lifestyle has also sparked his interest in animal and environmental advocacy.

The star shared details of a beach clean up he’d taken on with his social media followers early this month – and has urged them not to support companies that compromise animals or the environment to turn a profit.
