A U.S vegan cookery show has ‘gone global’ and is now available to watch in England, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand via Amazon Prime.

New Day New Chef, which is hosted by New York Times bestselling author and former CNN Headline News (HLN) host Jane Velez-Mitchell, launched on the streaming platform and Public Television stations throughout the U.S earlier this year.

During the eight-episode first season, Velez-Mitchell showcased a number of easy vegan recipes, including a triple-decker veggie burger, and eggless, zero-cholesterol deviled eggs among others.

Each episode featured a different celebrity co-host, new chefs and a panel of taste testers. Guests include some of America’s best-known vegans, like NBA legend John Salley, Olympic medalist and Game Changers star Dotsie Bausch, and celebrated Los Angeles chefs Babette Davis among others.

‘Appetite for plant-based food’

“In this New Day of climate and health consciousness, anyone can be a New Chef, and we’ll show you how,” Eamonn McCrystal, multi-Emmy Award winner and Executive Producer of New Day New Chef, said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.

There’s a new appetite for plant-based food, and we’re serving recipes and information to a large, curious community of foodies and home cooks who want to put their ethics on their plate.”

Speaking about the show becoming available in more territories, host Jane Velez-Mitchell said: “We are so excited that, now, most of the English-speaking world can watch top vegan chefs in action and learn how to make amazingly delicious dishes packed with nutrients that lead to optimal health and fitness.”

Velez-Mitchell is currently readying another eight shows to launch in October.
