Major bodybuilder Kai Greene has embarked on a seven-day plant-based challenge.

Greene, a pro-bodybuilder as well as a personal trainer, artist, and actor, is best known for scooping second place at the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Mr. Olympia competitions.

Earlier this week, he took to Twitter to ask his followers if they had any experiences with going plant-based, and was quickly offered help by James Wilks, who wrote and produced The Game Changers along with Joseph Pace.

‘Any experience?’

Greene tweeted: “Thinking about going on a plant-based diet. Still doing some more research. Anyone here have experiences with it?”

Wilks responded: “James Wilks, the producer and narrator of The Game Changers here. DM me on Instagram, and I can have our science team/sports dietician help with whatever you need. No one has more info on this than our team, when it comes to optimizing performance with plant-based nutrition.”

Plant challenge

Now Greene has revealed that he’s giving the plant-based diet a go. In one tweet, he shared an image from The Game Changers – branding the film ‘insane’.

He then shared a video of himself in a supermarket, captioning it: “NOT in the meat section but still kicking it with the meat lovers. We’re cool, seven-day plant challenge!”

In a third tweet, Greene shared an image of his muscular physique with a broccoli emoji superimposed, writing: “Day 1 , PLANT BASED DIET.”
