The couple behind major blogging sensation So Vegan are interviewed on the latest episode of Plant Based News‘ podcast.

Roxy Pope and Ben Pook, who have built a huge following of 1 million people, spoke to PBN Co-founder Robbie Lockie about their vegan journey.

Going vegan

“The beginning for me in terms of a food journey I’d say stems back to my teenage years – I was really interested in healthy living and eating well,” said Pope. “A few years later my mum got ill and she was really delving into where food comes from.

“She gave me all the information about how dairy isn’t good for you, and how you shouldn’t eat processed meat, all that kind of stuff, so it stemmed from there.

When Ben and I became a couple, we read so many articles and watched so many documentaries about the negative impacts of animal farming, that together we decided we should do something about it, and changing our diet was the most immediate impact we could have.”
