Scotland is to host its first ever outdoor vegan festival this Summer – V in the Park.

The festival, which will take place on the weekend of July 6-9, will be held at Balloch O’Dee, on the edge of Galloway forest.

Attendees will be able to camp at the location.

‘Inspiring’

Organizers say: “With delicious food and drink from wonderful vendors like Hygge foods, talks from inspiring animal rights activists including Vegan Geezer and Hench herbivore, stalls, workshops on a variety of topics from activism to running a vegan business, children’s entertainment, live music from amazing local bands and artists and DJ sets until 1am, we invite you to bring friends and family to a guilt-free weekend.

“The event is completely crowd funded and any small profit will go back into making next year’s event a possibility, we want to give back to the vegan community and also hope that V in the Park will invite others that are not yet vegan to see a side of us that they sometimes don’t get to.

“We want to provide a safe, inclusive environment for everyone to come together and show how much fun it is to be cruelty-free.”
