The Game Changers is one of the most highly-anticipated documentaries of the year – and will finally be available to the viewing public at a major global screening on September 16.
Ahead of the movie’s premiere, Plant Based News Founder Klaus Mitchell spoke to James Wilks, who produced and wrote the film with Joseph Pace.
The pair discussed the all-star cast and production crew – which includes Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, Novak Djokovic, James Cameron, and Arnold Schwarzenegger – among numerous others, which Wilks describes as arguably ‘the most powerful documentary team ever assembled’.
Wilks also spoke about why the film has taken so long to bring to the audience – addressing whether it will be worth the wait.
“I’m really proud of it, it’s taken a lot longer than I thought. If you’d have told me at the beginning how long it would have taken, I wouldn’t have done it,” he told Mitchell. “It’s been an incredible amount of work and stress for the whole team, including Joseph Pace, the other producer and co-writer.
“But whether people’s motivation is the environment, animals, or their health and performance, we really think everyone’s going to get something from it.”
