An Olympic athlete who appeared in The Game Changers says she is ‘blown away’ by how successful the film has been so far.

The sports documentary, which is available to watch on Netflix, is directed by Oscar-winner Louie Psihoyos and executive produced by Oscar-winner James Cameron. James Wilks produced and starred in the film.

Olympic silver medal-winning cyclist Dotsie Bausch appeared in the film – and she spoke to Plant Based News about how the movie has been received.

‘Blown away’

“It’s been [so] exciting so far,” she said. “I was blown away when [the film’s team] did the one-night-only theater release, in 1,500 theaters across the world, and it sold out in so many of [the venues].”

Since then, The Game Changers has launched on Netflix, making it available for many more people to watch – including Bausch’s gardener, who saw it, and learned about her incredible sporting past. In addition, as a result of watching the film, he decided he wanted to make a change in his own diet, in a bid to improve his health.

“I said, ‘well, you’ve come to the right place’,” Bausch added.

Dotsie Bausch is the founder of Switch4Good, a performance-based organization which supports people as they move away from dairy.
