World championship snooker player Neil Robertson has passed ‘an elite milestone’ after becoming the fourth player ever to have compiled 650 competitive century breaks.
The professional sportsman, who regularly speaks out about animal-rights on social media, completed his 650th ton in his six-three win over China’s Junhui Ding in the Shanghai Masters. The win put him into the quarter-finals.
Only seven players have completed 500 centuries.
Plant-based diet
Neil, who won the China Open last year, started eating a plant-based diet back in 2014, told Great Vegan Athletes: “I felt I needed to eat healthier to give my self the chance to get the most out of my career.
“I was pretty interested in the vegan diet for months before I decided to give it a try through speaking to Peter Ebdon.
“I always start the day with a carrot juice with my juicer followed by a six banana smoothie with half a bag of kale for breakfast. I bring another smoothie with me to the club which has another six bananas in it mixed with some other fruit. When I get home I make a salad and for dinner usually a pasta or rice dish.”
