A Berkeley, California-based marketing company has launched an initiative aiming to offer free services for a year to businesses that go vegan.
Through its vegan, sustainable, cruelty-free, and fairtrade marketing service called Aveccio, Levley Marketing is introducing the Compassion Business Challenge for animal-based businesses.
The company is offering up to three businesses one year of marketing services – with a total value of up to $100,000 – if they transition to 100 percent cruelty-free and vegan practices.
It is hoping that through this contest, it will be the first media company to positively impact the business community.
Activism through commerce
Levley Marketing hopes that this will not only help the vegan movement grow, but also help these businesses sustain themselves and grow.
“There are many ways to be an activist for animals. This campaign is activism through commerce,” said Jonathan Levley, president of Aveccio by Levley Marketing.
“By subsidizing the cost of a sizeable business expense, we hope to be able to better be able positively impact the lives of animals more than they would with their resources alone.”
To be eligible, the businesses need to be nominated by being mentioned on the Aveccio social media channels, get their fans and others to like the nomination, and transition fully by June 30, 2018.
