An international vegan film festival set to launch next month has revealed its trailer.
The Ottawa International Vegan Film Festival, which will take place on October 14, will showcase movies of various lengths and genres from around the world.
Its mission is to: “Be the leading film festival for vegan films that inspire people to choose a healthier, environmentally-friendly and more compassionate lifestyle through the consumption of plants and animal-free alternatives.”

According to the trailer, a range of films will be on offer, focusing on topics like factory farming, health and fitness, and food.
The event was founded by Shawn Stratton, after he was inspired to ditch animal products after watching documentaries.
He told Plant Based News he has been surprised by the number of films entered into this year’s event, saying: “The festival ended up getting 29 films from eight countries totaling over 17 hours of vegan-themed films.”
