Major meat festival Grillstock has been cancelled – with bosses saying they didn’t have time to ‘deliver the operational elements of the event’.
The event, which was supposed to take place on July 30 and June 1, is hosted by the Grillstock restaurant chain which went into administration last year but was bought out by a group of former company directors.
Headliners for the event, including Shaun Ryder’s Black Grape and the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, were announced last month.
‘Difficult decision’
A statement from event organizers said: “We have made the difficult decision to postpone our 2018 festival until 2019, which will take place on the same weekend at Bristol Harbourside.
“We know this is really disappointing and that tons of you have planned a weekend in Bristol to join us.
“We want to create the best Grillstock festival possible for our fans, but this year have found ourselves with a very short time frame to deliver the operational elements of the event.”
