Podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan said most vegans go back to eating meat because of health issues in a recent podcast.

The keen hunter added that humans are natural omnivores, and said it is a ‘hard road’ living off plants alone.

Rogan did not make the assertion based on any data – and in fact, asked his researcher to see if such information exists.*

‘We’re omnivores’

“Folks, we’re omnivores,” he added. “We exist better, we are more healthy, on an animal and vegetable diet.

“And if you don’t want to kill animals, please, eat eggs, eat oysters, eat shrimp and lobsters, they’re f*cking heartless, soulless little monsters that live at the bottom of the ocean.

“But if you want to be healthy, just eating only vegetables is a f*cking hard road. It’s a hard road.”

*His researcher pulled up a highly-contested Faunalytics study which claims 84 percent of vegans and vegetarians go back to eating meat. PBN ran an article debunking this study, which you can read here
