Professional basketball player Javier Mojica, who currently plays for Puerto Rico’s National Basketball Team, says he ‘might be’ plant-based after watching vegan documentary The Game Changers.
The American-Puerto Rican athlete made the announcement on Twitter, where he told his 9,840 followers: “Ladies and gentlemen, after watching The Game Changers on Netflix, I might be on a plant-based diet.”
Mojica received a slew of advice on praise from vegans, with one user recommending other pro-vegan documentaries such as What The Health and Cowspiracy.
“I haven’t eaten an animals’ corpse in almost four decades. Going plant based is one of the best things I’ve ever done,” one user commented. “Plus it’s never been an easier time to go plant based.”
The athlete also liked several replies encouraging him to make the lifestyle change – but has yet to confirm whether he has ditched animal products from his diet.
The Game Changers
Mojica isn’t the only athlete to be inspired by The Game Changers. Top bodybuilder Kai Greene announced he was trialing a plant-based diet after branding The Game Changers ‘insane’.
Greene has since made several posts on social media about his new lifestyle, and has recently released an e-book on plant-based dieting dubbed Stranded Island.
