Highly-anticipated vegan documentary The Game Changers has ranked as the number one bestseller on iTunes pre-order.

The film, which aims to be digitally released on October 1, ‘documents the explosive rise of plant-based eating in professional sports, mixing real-time, groundbreaking science with cinematic stories of struggle and triumph’.

‘Shocked and stoked’

“I figured The Game Changers would be ranked as the number one documentary on iTunes,” Producer James Wilks wrote on Instagram.

“But am shocked and stoked to see that we are currently the number ONE best-seller of ALL movie pre-orders beating Toy Story 4, IT 2, The Lion King, Fast & Furious and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

‘Toughest athletes on the planet’

Directed by Oscar-winner Louie Psihoyos and executive produced by Oscar-winner James Cameron, the film – which made its cinematic debut on September 16 – ‘features some of the strongest, fastest and toughest athletes on the planet – and it’s backed by them too.

Additional EPs include Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic, and nine-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul’.
