A new health documentary – and social project – which aims to share the benefits of a plant-based diet is currently in production.

The production team for Healing America includes the producer of Forks Over Knives, and director of PlantPure Nation.

Legendary doctor T. Colin Campbell – who authored The China Study – will feature prominently in the film. Healing America started the project by kicking off a tour which sees T. Colin Campbell and son Nelson Campbell visit various areas to give interactive talks on plant-based health.

According to the film’s production team: “Healing America is a powerful new film production that will do something unprecedented.

“We’ll use the power of film to both document and drive a grassroots movement organized around the far-reaching benefits of a plant-based diet.

“Our intent is to empower our local communities to take back control of our health, and in the process to demonstrate a new social action model with the power to heal our nation first – then other nations – and even the global environment.”

T. Colin Campbell has worked with PBN on a number of projects

According to the filmmakers, this project is different to a standard documentary because footage will be shared in real time as the film is being created.

They said: “We will produce an amazing movie for theatrical release, but as we do this, we will capture our progress in short video stories that we stream out in real time.

“Our intent is to use film not just to document, but to drive interest in the movement so that we can bring as many people as possible into the very storyline we are filming.”

The project is currently crowdfunding – you canfind out more about how to get involved here
