Rocky IV star Dolph Lundgren has revealed he’s been following a plant-based diet for a month, since watching The Game Changers.
The film, which ‘documents the explosive rise of plant-based eating in professional sports’, is directed by Oscar-winner Louie Psihoyos and executive produced by Oscar-winner James Cameron. Mixed martial artists James Wilks stars and produces.
Swedish actor Lundgren, who became a household name after playing Soviet Union boxer Ivan Drago in the 1985 film, discussed his new diet on Good Morning Britain this morning during an interview with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
‘A friend of mine’
“I’ve been vegan for a month; I’ve been trying it,” Lungren revealed. “A friend of mine, Arnold Schwarzenegger produced this documentary called The Game Changers. I checked it out, and then I figured I would try it out.
“I’ve noticed your blood sugar is constant, and you feel lighter. I think you can have a lot more fun with your diet – as a fighter all you eat is chicken and rice.’
Speaking about his libido, he said: “It was already quite good but it went up about 50 percent.”
