Celtic Football Club has announced the launch of its new vegan food kiosk located at Celtic Park.
Named Hoops & Roots, the kiosk, which opened February 21, is located in Section 137, in the Jock Stein Stand lower bowl.
‘Exclusively plant-based menu’
Fans will now be able to choose plant-based dishes such as chili non-carne and rice, chickpea and butternut squash curry, and vegan sausage rolls.
“Our new vegan cistin, is a nod back to our proud Irish roots (cistin being the Irish Gaelic word for cook-house or kitchen) with an exclusively plant-based menu for fans to enjoy!” Celtic FC wrote on its website.
Chelsea Football Club
Earlier this year, Chelsea Football Club also launched a ‘fully vegan kiosk’ at Stamford Bridge – becoming the first of its kind in the Premier League.
“We are pleased to be offering sports fans plant-based alternatives at our venue,” Simon Hunter, Chelsea head of venue and development, said in a statement.
“Reducing our environmental impact as well as offering fans plant-based options where we can is something we’re very committed to, and the launch of the vegan kiosk with Levy UK is a further positive step in doing so.
“Chelsea FC takes pride in its forward-thinking and innovative approach within the sports sector as to how we can improve the fan experience. The vegan kiosk is part of our mission to innovate, by creating something unique for fans that tastes great.”
